Policy answers with the clause cited

"Can I carry leave over?" "What is the hotel limit in Mumbai?" HR answers the same questions every week from the same handbook. Let employees ask the handbook - and see the clause it answered from.

  • Clause cited
  • Knows who is asking
  • Their balance, if you connect HR

How does SupaCortex work as an HR policy assistant?

You put the employee handbook and HR policies in their own project and add that project's chat widget to your intranet in identified mode. Employees ask in plain language; SupaCortex answers from the policies with numbered citations to the document and section. Connect HRStop, or your own HR system's API, and the same assistant can answer personal questions such as a leave balance for the signed-in employee - and only for them.

  • Handbook, policy PDFs and Word files, or a Drive / SharePoint folder.
  • Identified widget: a token from your portal, valid at most 15 minutes.
  • HRStop works out of the box through its product connector.
  • Other HR systems through a custom HTTP connector, from the Growth plan.
  • Changes such as a leave request always need the employee's confirmation.
Getting started

What you set up

  1. 01

    1. A people-policies project

Handbook, leave, travel, expense and conduct policies - marked official. Keep it separate from any customer-facing project.

  2. 02

    2. An identified widget

Your intranet signs a short token with the employee's id, name and company. Paste the script tag, or use the WebView URL in your HR app.

  3. 03

    3. Connect HR data (optional)

Point the project at HRStop's connector, or describe your HR system's endpoints. Test each one with the Try button.

  4. 04

    4. Greet and guide

A greeting that says what it can answer, quick actions like "Leave policy" and "My balance", and where to go for anything else.

Capabilities

What employees get

The clause, not a paraphrase

Every answer cites the policy and the section, so an employee - or a manager - can read the source.

Their own numbers

Leave balance and request status from HRStop or your HR system, for the signed-in employee only.

Confirm before anything changes

An action such as raising a request shows exactly what will be sent and waits for a yes.

No asking for someone else

Identity comes from the signed token. Typing a colleague's name does not change whose data is looked up.

Every call audited

Each call to your HR system is recorded with the endpoint, status and timing - and admins can read the conversations.

Says when the policy is silent

No matching clause, no invented one. Those questions show you where the handbook needs a line.

Frequently asked

Questions people ask before they start

In a chat widget on your intranet or HR portal, in identified mode: your portal signs a short-lived token for the signed-in employee, so the assistant knows who is asking. Employees asking through the widget are not seats on your plan.

Policy and personal data are kept apart. The policy - how many days the leave type allows - comes from your handbook, cited. The balance is data, fetched for the signed-in employee from HRStop's connector or from your own HR system through a custom connector. Who is asking comes from the verified token, never from what they typed, so nobody can ask for a colleague's balance.

If your HR system has an HTTPS API, yes. Describe the endpoints - or import an OpenAPI file - as a custom connector, available from the Growth plan. Anything that changes data, such as applying for leave, always asks the employee to confirm first.

The assistant answers what the policy says and cites it; it has no judgement of its own. Keep personal and confidential documents out of the project entirely, and say in the greeting where to take a grievance or a sensitive matter. Questions it cannot ground get "I could not find this", not a guess.

If the handbook lives in Google Drive or SharePoint, the feed picks up the changed file on its next run and re-indexes it. If you upload files, upload the new version and delete the old one, so answers only ever cite the current policy.

Let the handbook answer for itself.
