Admissions season, answered from the prospectus

Every year the same thousand questions about eligibility, fees and deadlines arrive by phone, email and form. SupaCortex answers them on your website from the documents you already publish, and cites the page.

  • Projects by audience
  • Visitors are never seats
  • Cited answers

How do schools, colleges and edtech companies use SupaCortex?

Institutions put the prospectus, fee structure, admissions FAQ, academic calendar and student handbook into projects organised by audience - applicants, students, parents, staff - and place a widget on the website or in the student app. Each audience gets cited answers from its own documents. Admissions and student-services teams get reply drafts in the help desk for the emails that still arrive.

  • One project per audience: applicants, students, staff.
  • Uploads for PDFs and circulars; a website feed for pages that change.
  • Widget for the website; a mobile URL for the student app.
  • Website visitors and app users are not counted as seats.
  • Says when the documents do not cover a question.
Typical questions

Questions it answers in education

"Am I eligible for the MBA with 55%?"

"What are the hostel fees, and can I pay in instalments?"

From the current fee structure - replaced when next year's is uploaded.

"When is the last date to apply?"

From the admissions page, kept in step by a website feed.

"What happens if I miss an internal exam?"

From the student handbook, in the student project only.

"How do I reset my LMS password?"

From IT's how-to guides, for students and staff alike.

"What's the process for leave during term?"

Asked by faculty in team chat, answered from the staff manual.

Set-up

How institutions set it up

  1. 01

    Projects by audience

Applicants, students and staff each get a project, so internal notes never reach a prospective parent.

  2. 02

    Load what you publish

Prospectus, fee circulars and handbooks as uploads; admissions pages as a website feed.

  3. 03

    Widget where they ask

On the admissions pages, with your colours and quick actions such as "Fees" and "Deadlines".

  4. 04

    Drafts for the inbox

Admissions staff reply to emails from cited drafts in the help desk.

Honest limits

What to know before you start

It answers what you have written down - which, in admissions season, is most of it.

  • No WhatsApp channel yet, which many parents prefer - it is on the roadmap.
  • No ready-made connector for student information systems; lookups need an API you can describe.
  • Text only - it does not read scanned images or answer by voice.
  • It does not decide admissions or grant exceptions; it points to the rule and the office.
Frequently asked

Questions people ask before they start

Yes - give them different projects. An admissions project holds the prospectus and fee structure; a student project holds the handbook and exam rules; a staff project holds internal procedures. Each widget only answers from its own project.

No. Website visitors and app users are never seats. Plans include a monthly number of widget sessions, and only your own staff who sign in count as users.

Point a website feed at the pages that change, or replace the PDF when the new fee circular is out. The old document is replaced, so the old answer goes with it.

Only if you connect it. In identified mode your portal signs a token for the student and you describe the lookups on your system's API. Without that, it answers general questions only.
